About
Thanks for visiting my blog. I am the pastor of the Fry Road Campus of The Foundry in Houston, TX. I am privilege to lead a great group of people as we start this new campus of Foundry. We launched on March 30, 2008 at the Cypress Cinemark on Hwy 290 and Spring Cypress in Cypress, TX…that’s NW Houston. I was raised just outside of Tallahassee, FL in the small town of Monticello. I was a baseball player in my former life, playing for the Georgia State Panthers in college. I graduated from Asbury Theological Seminary with a Master of Divinity degree in May of 2005. I hope this blog will be a place to share what’s going on in my life and what God is teaching me through the many amazing people that I get to be around everyday. At the top of that list is my wife Jacqueline (visit her blog) and three kids who are my favorite people to hang out with!

Hey – thanks for the link! Its exciting to know another church planter who is stepping out!

Ok…this is so weird!!!! So, like a year ago (b/c it was Spring Break) we were vacationing on St. George Island and went to service at your church. (great service btw). We met you and your wife and spoke briefly. We had loved the island and had an impulse to look into living in the area (which quickly passed). Anyway, flash forward to here. We live in Northern Indiana and attend Granger Community Church. We have recently learned we are being relocated to Nicholasville, KY. We checked the area out and really love it. We even found a church we love, Southland. I was just doing some more research and ran across your name…and here we are. What a small world! Really. We don’t move until our children are out of school, although my husband leaves in two weeks to start working down there. So, in a weird, roun-a-bout way, I feel like seeing your connection to this church is yet another sign that things are gonna be ok. Just when I was starting to feel like this world was so big and scary, God comforted me with a familiar face. Plus, the weekend we attended Southland, Mike Breaux was giving the message and we spoke to him and he knows our pastor, Mark Beeson. So again, small world. Anyway, great to see you again. It sounds like your church in Texas is doing awesome. So happy for you. Drop us a line when you can…maybe fill us in on the Nicholasville area. Blessings- Shelly
